Jonathan May grew up in Zimbabwe as the child of missionaries and now lives and teaches in Memphis, TN, where he received his MFA in Poetry. In September 2016, he was honored to serve as the inaugural Artist in Residence at the Brooks Museum of Art. His first chapbook, from “The Disappearing City–”, came out in 2018. His second, dance sentences, was released in 2020. ColorGarden Press released his book of short stories, “but queerer things were meant to come”, in 2020.
